If you want the feel of a mountainside cabin in the Adirondacks (but without the drive to upstate New York), then look no further than Queen’s Cove Cottage. Nestled in a peaceful cove of Lake Norman yet only 15 minutes from Cornelius, Davidson, and Mooresville is this charming and recently updated log cabin.
Upon arrival, you’ll note the copious amounts of porchside rocking chairs that are reminiscent of the best part of a Cracker Barrel restaurant. There’s also a wooden porch swing next to these rockers for you to take in the full 1.2 acre partially wooded property. Spend your day relaxing and enjoying both the stunning views of the lake and the quiet tranquility of mature trees!
This unassuming cabin sleeps a whole slew of people: fourteen to be exact! Spread across 6 bedrooms you’ll find three kings, 1 queen, 1 full, and four twins. The kitchen received a full renovation in 2020 and now boasts granite countertops, a cook-top island, a ton of counter space, and rustic accents like exposed ceiling beams. The sunken living room offers lots of comfortable seating as well as access to the screened-in porch. The basement also boasts a full second kitchenette area as well as foosball and poker tables.
Each bedroom is large, comfortable, and filled with natural light. There’s simply no better way to wake up than with a room that’s filled with sunshine. Unless, of course, you’re waking up in a lakeside cabin with its own private, covered dock, fire pit, hot tub, and 6 kayaks available for use.
Trust us: for the best in summertime memories- like smore’s and firefly catchin’- you’ll only want to stay at Queen’s Cove Cottage.
