Blog > Loving the Details
With today being Valentine’s Day, we figured it would be fun to explore the little details in a house that made people fall in love. Well, with the house, that is. Thanks to Realtor.com, they uncovered the small features that convinced buyers that that house was the one. Here they are!
Coffee Stations
After house hunting for a while, Gene H. of Virginia knew when he walked into his future home that he’d found it. Why? Coffee. The house had not one but THREE built-in cappuccino makers on various floors of the house. As an apparent coffee aficionado, he knew right away that he didn’t need to shop any longer.
Skylight
Charlotte’s own Scott R. found his forever home thanks to a skylight. An architectural detail that is incredibly difficult and costly to add without a major construction project, Scott knew that when he found a home with a skylight not to let it slip away. As a lover of natural light he said, “The best part is that I can enjoy a sky full of stars from the comfort of my home. Whether it’s raining, snowing, or a bright sunny day, all I have to do is take a seat and enjoy the weather.”
An Established Garden
As someone without a green thumb in her entire body, I can appreciate Dan M.’s perspective. All the way in New Zealand, when searching for a home Dan stumbled upon a 1868 stunner. He and his wife loved everything about the house itself but what really sealed the deal was the huge and established garden. Right away they’d be able to enjoy fruits from the orchard, vegetables from the garden, and herbs from one of the half a dozen greenhouses. Imagine the cost savings on food alone!
