Lake Wylie Neighborhoods Gaining Amenities

Charlotte’s lakeside communities are far and above some of our favorite places to live. It’s no secret that neighborhoods in and around Lakes Norman and Wylie are growing exponentially. All it takes is one look at construction signs to know these areas are booming. Participating in this boom is a luxury Lake Wylie community.

Constructed on former Daniel Stowe homestead in Belmont, McLean has partnered with Morningstar Marinas to add a commercial marina to the development. Within the community will be 300 dry slips and 35 wet slips. It will also feature a waterfront lawn for events and a retail store. The marina itself will be managed and operated by Morningstar. This is their first marina on Lake Wylie. The company operates three on Lake Norman.

As reported by the Charlotte Business Journal, “McLean represents one of the Charlotte region’s final major waterfront developments.” This is mostly due to the fact that lakefront property is harder and harder to come by. Eventually, the community is expected to include 800 homes across three neighborhoods. This will take up much of the last remaining open land.
