Rising and Falling Charlotte Home Sales

As we’re hurtling quickly towards the last quarter of 2019, it’s time to take a look back at the first half of the year. In the first 6 months of 2019, home sales seesawed a bit throughout the entire Charlotte metro.

In the first quarter, home sales were down anywhere from 0.9% to a full 9% (compared to the previous year) depending on where in the city the sales took place. The second quarter saw a quick uptick of half a percent while falling over 6% in June.

As reported by the Charlotte Business Journal, from January-June, closed sales have remained steady from the same six-month period last year. There were 24,025 closings recorded in the first half of 2019, up 0.8% from 23,840 during the same time in 2018.

The Charlotte ‘Burbs
