Back for its 4th year, this local Lake Norman favorite event is sure to delight the whole family! The Lighted Boat Parade is exactly how it sounds: area boats lit up in their festive finest; it’s a definite feast for the eyes. Here’s everything you need to know!

Date: Saturday, December 17th

Time: Parade starts at 5:30pm and ends around 7pm.

Route: Taking place on Lake Norman, the parade route will follow a path from Blythe Landing to Ramsey Creek to the Duke Explorium. All three of these viewing areas are open to the public, though boats will also be seen from shore points along the route. 

Cost: This family-friendly event is FREE! Duke Explorium will also be hosting food trucks and event volunteers will be collecting new, unwrapped toys at the various viewing points to be donated to Little Smiles. There are currently upwards of twenty boats registered to participate in the parade, each one more festive than the last. 

Grab your friends, family, and some hot cocoa and make plans to attend this largest boat parade on Lake Norman. These memories will be cherished for years to come!
