Regatta at the Lake Norman Yacht Club

The very last few moments of Summer are within reach and there’s no doubt we all want to hold on with a vice grip. You may be wondering how to make the most of your Labor Day Weekend in and around the Charlotte area. Here are a few fun things happening in our neck of the woods!

Charlotte Labor Day Parade

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, the annual Charlotte Labor Day Parade is back! The parade will take place on Monday, September 5th, 2022, at 11 a.m. It will start at North Tryon Street at 9th Street, head toward the Square, then turn left on 3rd Street, and ending on College Street.

Whitewater Labor Day 5K/15K

On Saturday, September 3rd starting at 7am, join all your fellow early bird runners at the U.S. National Whitewater Center for their 5k and 15k races. Enjoy a scenic view of the Catawba River as you make the most of your holiday weekend. There are prizes for the top three finishers in each age bracket. Visit USNWC to register.

Lake Norman Regatta

Stop by the Lake Norman Yacht Club to witness their annual Labor Day Regatta on September 3rd and 4th. Racing will include one-design fleets, junior courses, and lakewide keelboat courses. Dinner at the Clubhouse on September 3rd will feature BBQ and fried chicken, followed by live music. Check out the LKN Yacht Club for more information.
