Shore Beats Work

Like its name implies, this beautiful vacation rental on Lake Norman sure beats being at work. Now, we are lucky enough to live in a time where so many of us have jobs we love. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love some time away from the grindstone, especially when that time involves sun, surf, and stunning lake sunsets. 

Shore Beats Work is a gorgeous home that sleeps ten spread across three bedrooms in the main house and a whole separate guest house (which boasts a King suite). The main house bedrooms consist of one King master with a claw foot tub in the ensuite bath, one guest Queen room, and a kid’s room with twin-over-twin bunks and a full bed. Each room has its own TV as well as crisp, clean linens and lots of natural light. 

The rest of the house features exquisite furnishings and a well appointed kitchen with a retro fridge, granite island, and tons of counter space for preparing delicious meals. 

But really, the start of the show is basically everything happening outside. Shore Beats Work has some of the longest range views of the entire lake of all our vacation rentals. Enjoy a huge, fenced-off private beach access, corn hole, fire pit, available kayak and paddleboard, as well as lakeside hammocks. 

I mean, really. Who needs work when there’s lakeside hammocks? 

This home features its own private dock so there’s no reason to leave the boat at home. There’s also the option to rent a tritoon. This rental has a three-day minimum but is delivered directly to the dock.
