2023 Veterans Day

As the crisp November air sweeps through Cornelius, the community eagerly prepares to commemorate Veterans Day, paying tribute to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. The 2023 Veterans Day service promises to be a heartfelt and memorable event, bringing the community together to honor our heroes.

Date and Time: The Veterans Day service will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM

Location: Cornelius Veterans Monument at Rotary Plaza and the Cornelius Town Hall lawn (will move indoors in case of inclement weather).

The event will kick off with a solemn flag-raising ceremony, led by local veterans and active-duty military personnel and will be followed by distinguished keynote speaker, Post Commander Gene McKinney. 

A 21-gun salute and patriotic music will follow the keynote address. 

Lake Norman’s Veterans Day service promises to be a meaningful occasion that unites the community in showing its unwavering support for our veterans and as a reminder that their service is deeply appreciated.
