Back 2 School Bash

As much as we tried to avoid it, Back to School season is officially upon us. Thankfully, there are always lots of great ways to celebrate that moment- especially when you live in such a great place as Lake Norman! 

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, then look no further than Cornelius. Every August, the town of Cornelius Parks & Recreation Department puts on one heck of a Back 2 School Bash complete with games, inflatables, vendors, and more! This year’s event occurs this Saturday, August 19th at 6pm. 

Located at James Hoyt Wilhelm Park, this event is free and fun for the entire family. Plus, this year they are featuring a movie in the park at dusk (approximately 8:15pm). Enjoy ‘Finding Nemo’ on the large inflatable screen. Bring a blanket, camp chairs, and any creature comfort you enjoy when watching a movie. Coolers and picnic baskets are permitted, so long as you don’t bring alcohol or any glass containers. 

Hopefully this fun, family-friendly, FREE event will be the perfect way to say goodbye to summer vacation and hello to the start of an amazing school year! Just one more reason why we love living here in Lake Norman.
