New for Lake Norman

New year, new restaurants and bars to get excited about. And that’s exactly what’s happening in Lake Norman! Our friends at Charlotte Five recently broke the news that Charlotte favorite BAR ONE Lounge is expanding their business. Their new location will be located in Lake Norman and will mark a first for the area… once the location is finished at Queen’s Landing, it will be the area’s only floating, boathouse-style bar. 

Owners Steven Jensen and Kyle O’Brien are pairing BAR ONE with another area favorite, 800° Woodfired Kitchen to bring an elevated dining and lounge experience to Mooresville. Jensen says that the pairing is “different than anything else that’s out there,” leading to their explosive growth.

New Locations. New Vision

In Lake Norman, BAR ONE and 800° Woodfired Kitchen will move into a two-story, 15,000 square foot location. The first floor space will be dedicated to gourmet pizzas and other refined dishes. Most notable, the filet mignon, woodfired salmon, or favorite prosciutto & burrata pizza. 

Upstairs, enjoy the BAR ONE lounge experience with spacious private dining, live entertainment, and stunning lake views. The most exciting part is what will be outside, though: A full-service, floating, boat-accessible bar serving up to 25 at a time. 

According to Charlotte Five, the plans are part of the Arnold Companies’ restoration efforts at Queen’s Landing. The restaurant project is expected to open later this winter and you know what that means: perfect Summer 2023 fun!
